    Sorry to hear this feature isn’t working for you.
    Just like in v7, you can only ring your speakers in addition to your headphones if the OS detects any other device other than the internal sound card so 3.5mm headphones wouldn’t work.

    If you are still running into the issue using supported OS devices, we will work on fixing it, but we first need your logs.

    To send your logs, you need to be on Skype Preview. You can download it from Once you have Skype Preview running, send us your feedback and logs from the app by going to “Settings” , “Help and Feedback" and then clicking on “Report a Problem”.

    Hi Chris, we found an issue on our end that might be what you are seeing as well.
    What we found is, if you toggle the setting and have two devices, one of them gets selected automatically. If you don’t explicitly open the drop down and select the device, the ringing might fail to go through the auto-selected device.

    As a workaround, you can try opening the drop down and selecting the right device manually to see if that fixes it. We are also working on fixing the root cause on our end.

    If that doesn’t solve it, I would love to see what the exact issue is but need some more details so our developers can solve this as fast as possible. What is the model of your computer and your headphones? Which device is selected in your AV settings in Skype and what are your default device and communication devices in your Windows settings? We will see if we can test the configuration - if we have that match up here!
