How to Find Wifi Password
There are several ways to learn your WiFi password on a Windows laptop or desktop. You can easily find the password of the WiFi network or the router you are currently connected to. To do this, you can do the following:
Open the Start menu and look for the network status. Or right-click on the WiFi icon in the lower right corner of the screen and click Open Internet and Network Settings.
Now click Change adapter options. A new window will open showing the Wi-Fi connection.
Double-click Wi-Fi and then Wireless Properties.
When you do this, you will see two options for connection and security. Go to Security and check the Show characters box. Once you have done this, you will be able to see the password for the Wi-Fi network or modem you are connected to.
Interestingly, there is also a way to learn the password for other saved Windows device networks. All you need to do is follow these steps:
Open the Start menu and enter a command prompt
Run the following command: netsh wlan show profile
You will see a list of all your saved WiFi networks. Select the network you want to find out and run the following command: netsh wlan show profile **** key = clear. (Change *** to the name of the network you found in the list.)
When you are done with the security settings, you will see the WiFi password for that network or modem.
