So you guys know people get married, divorce, change their names, interests lose relevance, etc. right?

For those of us who have been on Skype since before the GUID was used for your Skype name we are stuck with whatever that name we set was, not only isn't that my name anymore but as a trans woman it's really important to me not to be running into my old name constantly. Unfortunately, you can't let me rename it, nor can you reset it so I get a generic GUID like you currently use. And since I can't close my Skype account without deleting Microsoft software licenses, Xbox games and history and a million other things tied to my account that I can't just replace I'm stuck with it.

I have zero options to get this corrected other than turn off my account discoverability and never use Skype again. Thanks friends, I guess I'll be using Messenger, Telegram, Signal, Wire, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, Kik or any of the other competitors that all realize names change.

Until you give me options you've lost a user and one who will recommend never using your service at every opportunity. This limitation is actively user-hostile and reflects poorly on Microsoft who otherwise understand people change and make changing their accounts easy and flexible.
