Skype for Windows on ARM Desktop app badly needed
Can you tell me when Skype will be released for Windows on ARM and where on your Roadmap it is?
Windows on ARM PCs have been out a few years now and whilst the 32-Bit Win32 App works, due to software emulation not optimally.
Apple also announced on the 22nd of June Macs are moving to ARM starting the end of the year and they expect the transition away from Intel to ARM to take 2 years. Both Microsoft and Adobe are working on ARM compatibility.
Frustratingly the Skype UWP app was written for ARM64, but that's been removed and replaced with the Win32 32-Bit app in the Microsoft Store and on Windows on ARM devices :-/
Frustratingly both Teams and Skype (consumer) are written in Electron which is available for ARM64 🤷♂️:
Currently on my Microsoft Surface Pro X I have to use the 32-Bit Win32 app which lags.
Why remove the UWP app for Windows on ARM users and replace it with a slower app?
May I have an update on my question where Skype for Windows on ARM is on your Roadmap please?
