I am agree with this feature. I am student of 10th class and All classes are going on skype but our teachers are not able to explain by drawing figures and etc. Zoom includes it but I think Skype is better than Zoom.
I request Skype community to add inbuilt whiteboard for teaching and explaining something... -

There should be an inbuilt whiteboard in skype which can be used during a call to draw or explain something.

Hi, I'd like there to be an option for me and the Skype participants to able to draw and type on the shared screen. A whiteboard option would be nice, too.
Also, I would like to be able to see the other participant(s) during a shared screen, but often there is only 1 participant showing and then when you click on it to move it, it vanishes only to return if you end and restart the call, maybe. -

Totally agree - as a teacher and educator I think this would bring Skype on par (feature wise) with Zoom, which allows a collaborative whiteboard. Microsoft whiteboard is perfect for this and there is some integrstion in Teams, but Teams is excessively complicated.

it needs to have various colors and pen thicknesses and also be able to share screen with others when desired

how long does it take for an idea to become a reality? I mean a whiteboard is kind of a pretty basic thing

This is similar to an existing feedback idea. Skype needs a whiteboard module. Microsoft Whiteboard is already one of the best whiteboards around, and it allows for whiteboard collaboration (but not any voice communication). So it would be a natural addition to Skype

Many people are now required to work from home, given the current COVID-19 situation. Consequently, a lot of large team meetings, conferences and planning days have been cancelled or postponed. It would be useful if Skype could allow meetings with a large group of people to have a "break away" feature so that attendees are able to break up into smaller sub-groups (to discuss the questions, topics etc) then be able to rejoin the main group. I'm not sure if this already exists or has been suggested before? The organiser(s) could issue materials (handouts etc) electronically or there could be an alternative to the usual materials during conferences (e.g. butcher paper, whiteboard, smartboard etc). It might be useful to empower the organiser(s) to be able to randomly select groups of a particular size (or pre-select groups) (e.g. if you have 50 attendees and you need groups of 5, or if you need each group to have a person on the leadership team etc). Polls, sharing screens etc. would be useful as well.

Give an additional module to the basic Skype , and call it 'skype for teaching' with whiteboard function and other functions that may be useful for people using Skype for teaching , but NOT using the business version as that is not specific enough in scope / purpose to be used for Teaching / Tuition over skype.
