Remove requirement for cell phone number on account lock removal
I needed to reset a forgotten password, I reset it with the code received by email. I was then hit with a "give us your cell phone number" to verify you. I don't have a cell phone, How can I proceed with this?? It is not reasonable to assume everyone has a cell phone. I don't, please remove this requirement to need a cell phone number, it is very frustrating. I pay for a Skype phone number and I have now lost access to an account that I pay a subscription for!!!
I am very frustrated that I have to go through customer service to unlock this account when I know my email address, can receive the verification code, and reset the password... is that not enough to verify your identity?? why the cell phone number requirement??? Please please remove the requirement for a cell phone number.
For those who like to link their cell phone number that is great, but it should NOT be a forced requirement, please make this OPTIONAL, NOT required.

Have you asked for a two-pass authorization?
- you should use two methods, and maybe they accept that you use two emails, but they should refuse. This is the Internet with very limited security.
The mobile phone is used because your operator (US: "Carrier") authenticated you when they issued the SIM card. This contains your "MSISDN" - your number. They can ask your operator to query their net and may be able to discover where you are pretty accurately without the GPS, simply by knowing the base stations that provide you with service. Then everything on that network is encrypted, so it is impossible for others to pretend they are you.
This is the reason for asking for your mobile phone. It is security.
