Merging old Skype account (user name) with/into Microsoft accounts (email address).
I have a Skype account that I created before Microsoft acquired Skype. The account is 'based' on a user name. I recently created a Microsoft account with my email address. Same email address as is in my account settings for the old Skype account. However, Microsoft automatically created a new Skype account for me. Why couldn't I just migrate my existing old Skype account to Microsoft and sync them all up?

I agree. I had Skype account with Skype ID before the acquisition and now I can sign into Skype using Windows Live ID but they are different accounts. Please help to put option either to merge or link them. Thank you.
same here, Microsoft totally messed up by linking my Skype profile to my husband's acct unbeknown to either of us and that causes incredible problems with our logins.

Same issue, huge problem for job hunting and having Skype interviews
Same issue here. I went to the Skype help page, chatted with someone, and there was not a way to attend this request. It bothers me to keep jumping between two accounts to use Skype.
