Export Chat History including BEFORE April 2017 and REMOVE the 30-day limit.
We need our messages, videos and pictures before April 2017 to be available. and REMOVE the 30 day limit for files, voice messages, call recordings
@Michael: Skype 8 does not store chat history locally at all. Since it's all stored in the cloud, MS put in that 2-year limit, which some people are starting to hit right about now (Skype 8 came out roughly two years ago).
At this point, or soon, we'll be forced to salvage history by doing a cloud export and somehow managing those. It's going to be a mess.

Skype currently provides recording of video calls and the calls can be made available for a time of upto 30 days. However after 30 days these become completely unavailable at this time.
Is it possible to connect / save these files in OneDrive at the time of recording for retrieval at a later date? This could then help provide the users an option to hold these files for a duration that they deem it necessary or appropriate.
Also I presume that for regulatory and compliance reasons these calls should be archived and stored for a quite sometime. If that is the case would it be possible to make this recording available for access at a later date for a nominal fee. This would make a value proposition for Skype and will also benefit the user that wants to get some information that was lost in time.

I just noticed, that there is now a 2 years limit of the chat history in Skype 8.
There was no limit before with Skype 7 and I don't see any reason for a limit, since the data gets stored on my local drive.
Remove that limit!
