give back the turn off smilies button
Return the turn smiles off button.I hate the Skype smilies. If I just want to use a text smile, let me without translating it into a horrible, inaccurate POS Skype animated smilie.

Agreed 100%. Plus, Skype keeps trying to insert smilies into code samples that I am trying to share with my coworkers. Very irritating to have to keep trying to revise a message so that a code sample doesn't contain any character sequences that Skype thinks should be represented as smilies.
