Less wasted UI space and many more options, and act on complaints!
I now hate Skype. Why? Because it takes up so much space and no longer has a proper conpact mode. I hate the update nags and the drastic UI deterioration, from version to version. Why don't you simply allow more options? Then, you could foist whatever UI you want on new users, but show some respect/loyalty to long-term users (been a user for prob 20 years) by allowing UI tailoring as they want. It's not exactly a new idea. What IS new is the "we know best" approach that is so evident. What is this "Suggest" thing for, and why can I not turn it off - it takes up so much space in the contacts list. "Invite to Skype" - why so prominent and taking up all that space? Why is this so "in your face" anyway? The whole UI is becoming so unprofessional-looking really. Why the need for the A, B, C.. headers? There is no need for these whatsoever and should be optional. Above all, will you please just listen to and oblige those users, like me, who have taken the trouble to comment. This is no exaggeration, but all Skype users I know (at least 10) with whom I have discussed this, agree that Skype just seems to get worse with every upgrade. Surely you, Microsoft, can do better?
Would be nice to get a response for reported user problems. Why does skype want to blind us all with force feeding those eye burning white backgrounds down our throats?
