Implement HUD-free video calling
User "anonymous" created this request: https://skype.uservoice.com/forums/914527-welcome-to-skype-ideas/suggestions/35324896-add-the-full-screen-function-back-and-give-us-hud
Add the Full-Screen function back, and give us HUD-free video calls again!
What I loved about Skype 7, and what made it the apotheosis of all messaging apps, was its great and reliable video calling. I was able to toggle in and out of full-screen, resize the picture to the size I wanted, and I had the option of a disappearing HUD by simply moving the mouse - not even the person's profile picture could be seen -- it was great! But in Skype 8? You have all kinds of clutter on the screen like the call button, toggle screen button, both caller and receiver profile pictures, emojis, microphone icon, dropdown menu icon, recording button, snapshot button, I mean the list just goes on and on and on. WHY do we need all this clutter on a video call? Please just make it the way it was -- to where we can just move our mouse and all those buttons disappear during the video call. If I need to use them I'll just move my mouse and they can pop up. It's an absolutely horrible design to keep all that clutter on the screen. Make it COMPLETELY clutter free the way it was, and make it full-screen again. This is essential in making it the ruler of video-calling messengers again.
Note that this is two requests: full screen video mode, and a clutter-free windowed mode, like was present in Skype 7.
@Petr has announced implementation of Full-screen mode only, and marked this as complete.
This is becoming a habit - Petr announces half of what is asked for and marks the entire request as complete so that the thread is no longer visible on the main page.
I have therefore created this new thread to restore the remaining functionality.
