Allow me to save a whole conversation as a text file
Allow me to save a whole conversation (all history) as a text file on my local computer
There are so many use cases why one would need to save a conversation. the ones that come to mind for me are to keep a record of work completed, or to have a report if a manager tells you to do something that you may not agree with. This day and age when so much work is done remotely, having a record of conversations is very important for many reasons.
It is currently too easy for someone to delete something they said, or the whole conversation and claim they were never told, or never had that conversation, or agreement, etc.
I personally know that all records are stored in a database file buried deep in a folder, but that is a pain in the butt to parse, when it should be a simple feature to save a conversation. It wont even let me highlight the entire conversation and paste it as some users are suggesting which is totally ridiculous. I'd think Microsoft would have a much better understanding why it could be important to keep records of a conversation.
When pertinent words are written during a conversation, I am unable to copy the list of words at the same time and then paste to Word. Currently, I can copy and paste - ONE word at a time, and if I have a list of thirty words, it is very time consuming. My other option is to copy them down in my note book, also time consuming.
Bin with Marina there:
"PLEASE! This function is so important!"
The function is still missing - regardless all the votes and comments.

Provide way to copy conversation history in Skype for a contact and paste it into Word. This was available until recently.
Make Skype for business compatible with Skype.
yes copied ... but what sorting? Have you seen? Neither the order of the lines nor the breakdown in time is normal, everything is in one line. This is terrible and unreadable.
Copy Entire Conversation/Chat to a text file easily
1.. Highlight ENTIRE Conversation/Chat (CTRL-A)
2. Copy to Windows clipboard.
3. Paste into document file (CTRL-V)
I used to be able to export the history of a chat or copy all the text at once, but nothing is letting me copy all the text in a chat and it's extremely difficult to keep word documents of history that way. I don't need to just access it in the window, I want to be able to save chat history in a word document. This should not be a challenge.

A good idea like this is essential for a better app
I cannot find a way to save/export a conversation to html, doc, or pdf file with all messages and pictures included. What a same to see a lack of such functionality is this app

please, add this feature. This article explains how to do it but the version that I have 184.108.40.206 doesn't support it. https://www.socmedsean.com/fast-and-easy-way-to-print-or-save-a-skype-conversation/
How come did you remove this feature?
Could not agree more! It looks like Skype wants to lose the *********** it amassed as current version is stripped off from all really useful features :-( There is no option to search a history and also joined window with all dialogs listed is very hard to work with.
Looking for alternatives already!

If I'm going over notes with someone on Monday at 2:16 AM, I need to be able to find it a month later. Simple as that. Copying and pasting does NOT show the username, leaving it a grand mess when you transfer it to a word document..and it can only go back several messages, not a day or even a week back. This new version is CRIPPLING. If Skype does not step up on this, other messaging services will have to be used.
I can select and copy the entire conversation but when it is pasted into a Word document it is poorly formatted. It would be helpful to have it in a readable format without the names and timestamp.
Cant save convo i really need it...older version was better

Yes could do this on older versions of skype
It is very difficult to copy each message .... create a message copying app to download as much or as little copying you wish into Word
A copy feature of all conversations/chats/messages so it is easy to copy the chats/messages
I want to save conversations in a file in my computer like excel file or txt, anything. Inside skype when i search for something in any conversation, if it's a little old, skype closes totally!!
