My speaker use to ring when somebody SKYPE me. But not now? WHY?
I am still running Skype 7.41 because in Audio Settings it has a Ringing device option in addition to Speakers and Microphone. I pick up a Plantrontics headset to take calls, but I first want to hear the ring on the PC speakers. That is how a telephone works. You hear the ring then pick up the handset/headset. All the Skype 8 versions tried previously did not have a Ringing device option, so they were useless. In the current Skype 8, is this fixed now?
God yes! I don't want "additional speakers" which is a stupidly named setting, don;t eve know if it does what I want, I want the old dropdown where I could tell it to ring on my laptop speakers but carry the conversation through the headset.
Just leave us the option to choose where the Skype rings as it always has been, stop stripping functionality from our everyday tool.
YES THIS IS SO NECESSARY!!!!!
On the Classic Skype (7) I could set what device calls/messages rang in on for incoming notifications and select a device for using when actually on a call. It is very important to our company that we can use computer speakers to let users know that they have an incoming call or message. Their Bluetooth headset would then take over sound once they accept the call.
This is unacceptable as a lot of people are away from their computers and need it to ring in on my speakers and allow use of BT headset for talking.
This worked fine with the classic version... why would this feature be taken out of Version 8???

I always speak with my headphones, but I need the RING to go through the laptop speakers! Please set a different option for ringing.
