support copy/paste of ANY media type
It should be possible to copy/paste any media type to or from Skype.
Skype should provide all possible clipboard formats for data copied from Skype. Ex, If I copy a jpg photo someone sent me, it should be provided to the clipboard in all possible image formats (dib, wmf, gif, png, jpg, tiff, bmp, ...) and if the image contain text, then the output of an OCR of the image should be there as well. The original type is the default.
When copying data to Skype, a best effort should be made to get that data into the message. As a last option, data should be sent as an ole-document.
Thank you all who voted for this suggestion! We are continuously working to improve the quality and functionality of Skype to meet your needs and really appreciate your support and patience. I’ll let you know if anything changes.
You "hear us" so why did you remove a perfectly good feature such as this to begin with?!?!?!
The loss of this feature in 'new Skype' is a real backwards step, why it would be remove is beyond comprehension, we need it back.
They should start with bringing back the copy/paste quote system and expand from there. The current copy/paste system is so barebones that it hurts.

Apparently you haven't been paying attention. Skype 8 is lacking basic features already present in Skype 7. This is the exact opposite of "improve". Early reports were that Skype 8 was unstable, again the opposite of "quality and functionality".
We'll be waiting on the edge of our seats to see if anything changes; but we'll be waiting with Skype 7 on our workstations, not the Skype 8 horror.

The receiver must have an option to disable previews or auto-linking to attachments.
