Autosave an unsent chat message
In the case of an app or system crash, most (if not all) of the unsent text would be there afterwards. The way it is now, all unsent text is lost, which sometimes is extremely painful.
Plenty of programs can do this, such as Telegram or Word. It should be especially easy for Skype due to the cloud.
They did manage to fulfill this feature later in 2019. Finally.
There's been a little bit of movement on this as of mid-February 2019. The 126.96.36.199 Insider release saves Drafts:
"Don’t forget about unsent messages anymore! You will find conversations with unsent messages at the top of your recent chats list marked as drafts. You can quickly come back to them, finish and send."
However, it only saves them if you properly close out Skype. If it crashes, or Windows does, you're out of luck, which means it's not an Office-style autosave function.
MS has the power, probably fairly easily, to go all the way with this feature, so I hope that they do.
Yes, keep draft messages - a neat idea
