Ability to create custom contact lists
The ability to group contacts in custom lists such "Friends", "Family" etc, and be able to show those within the app.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for this request. We have thought this through and due to other high priority engineering that the product needs we decided to prioritize other user-requested items for now. Please keep continue supporting this Idea and we will review it again later. I’ll let you know if anything changes.

Add the possibility to separate and organize contacts by groups. It's an option that skype had before.
It used to be there. Why did you remove it, and now we have to beg you to bring it back? Even the Contacts app on my Android phone has it! Even regular, non-smart phones had it.
Exactly! Why this essential feature has been discontinued?
Now if I want to make a group call for my students I have to scroll down and choose them one by one among my personal friends, because everything is bundled up together.
No one give a flying **** on our request. For them organizing contact it's not important. Every chat app has the option to organize the contacts. Skype why doesn't ?
Unbelievable such a basic fuctionality is not supported. Managing contacts is extremely important, if not even critical for an everyday use. If I would be a program manager/developer it would be on a top of my priorities with a due date set up to yesterday, together with a heartfelt apology to all users.
Organizing my contacts in groups is an extremely useful and time saving function. Now I have to take time every morning to create this groups and manually add every contact. As an employer you are making your business customer pay an employee every day to set up the groups before actually being able to start work. If you add up approx 12mins every work day, its 1 hour a week. So 4 hours a month are wasted on doing this when a simple contact group and a click (4 secs) would do the same job. This is a vital business item.
MAKE CONTACT GROUPS SO YOU CAN INVITE A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN ONE SINGLE CLICK
I can't believe it's still not there
Wow, I can't believe it's still not there. How come a messenger doesn't allow to organize contacts? You made skype suck. Thanks Microsoft!
We could create group of the contacts, where I can name this group and include and remove contacts.
In the classic version of Skype, I had different groups in my contacts: WORK, SCHOOL, FRIENDS, and so on.
In the new Skype, all contacts are combined into one common group.
You can add the ability to sort contacts by groups as in the classic version ?

I wish you had folders so I can group my contacts better. for example, I have Centers, Vendors, Clients, Broker, Personal and if skype had folders I could go to
the folder I want and make contact with them easily
Please open the option to manage my contacts by groups.
For example: “work” “family” “friends” “company” etc

Hey, @"Petr at Skype", @Admin - listen to your customers! If you prioritize some weird UI instead of our needs, you will loose us!

дебилы, верните группы, вообще чтоли без мозгов?
I have exactly the same case as most people here. I have hundreds of contacts for work and I need to be able to organize them. Please make it so.
If you google this, you'll actually find an old tutorial from Skype explaining how to set up contact lists. Why would you remove this feature?
